For the sixth time in its history, the Rural Municipality of Rosser has won a trophy for its roads.
The Manitoba Good Roads Association awarded its Provincial Cup for Overall Best Roads to the municipality on July 14. Rosser beat out everyone within its five-district area.
The rural municipality also received the Association of Manitoba Municipalities Shield for Best Maintained System of Municipal Roads in District One.
“We know that our Public Works crew does a great job keeping the roads in Rosser open and in excellent condition year-round, but it’s nice to get that endorsement from the Manitoba Good Roads Association,” said Reeve Frances Smee is a written statement.
There are three graders that repair and maintain Rosser’s roads nine hours a day, five days a week in the summer. The rural municipality has been awarded for its roads in 2010, 2000, 1986, 1981 and 1979.
