Learn about black bears at Birds Hill

Birds Hill Provincial Park is encouraging locals to become bear aware.

The park is hosting a Spring Bear Smart Campfire Talk on Sun., April 27 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Presenters will talk about black bears’ behaviour, habitats, and diets, and what attendees can do to protect themselves, their homes, cottages, and campsites. After the presentation, hot chocolate and marshmallows for roasting will be available.

The event is free, though a park vehicle permit is needed to enter the park.
