Education is best delivered with innovative, open-minded and dedicated teachers and administrators.
Personally, being raised in a family of educators, I learned those values and applied these teachings while raising our three children, who are now very successful in their respective fields.
I admire teachers in our schools who are dedicated to providing a great education to students. At Windsor Park Collegiate, I particularly appreciate Adriano Magnifico, who is growing Manitoba’s workforce by offering students a way to connect their education directly to the real world.
The Career Internship Program (CIP) at Windsor Park Collegiate combines traditional education with preparing students for the workforce, and partners with over 600 Manitoba businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
Part of Adriano’s goal is to engage students who are looking for different kinds of opportunities with their school life. He helps them develop a passion for education that is geared towards a meaningful career in a constantly evolving job market. The program challenges students to discover their potential by encouraging the three Rs: relevant curricula, real experiences and responsible attitudes.
At Windsor Park Collegiate, the CIP has something to offer students in every grade level. Grade 9 and 10 students participate in skill-building retreats, network with business partners, and learn to write resumes.
Grade 11 CIP students move closer to the workforce, developing interview preparation skills and job-shadowing with a local business partner.
I’m very proud to have excellent education programs like these available for families in Radisson.
