An upcoming event at St. Boniface Museum will celebrate Métis handiwork in a family setting.

The museum, located at 494 Tache Ave., will host its Family Fun Sunday on Sun., March 24 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Organizers say young participants will get to explore the museum’s exhibits with a visitor service agent and create a flower bead bracelet to take home. Topics will include finger weaving, Métis flower beadwork, the HBC point blanket, Manitoba symbols and favourite pastimes of the past.

The program is suitable for families with children aged between four and 10 and will be held in French from 1 to 1:45 p.m. and in English between 2 and 2:45 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, but it’s free for members.

To register, call 204-986-8496 before March 20.
