Book clubs set to meet at local libraries

Literature lovers can now bookmark the dates of several upcoming book club meetings at southeast Winnipeg libraries.

The Louis Riel Book Club (Louis Riel Library — 1168 Dakota St.) will meet on Sat., Feb. 1 at 1:30 p.m. to discuss The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood.

Also, the St. Vital Book Club (St. Vital Library — 6 Fermor Ave.) will meet on Mon., Jan. 27 at 7:15 p.m., when the spotlight will be on The Moonlit Cage by Linda Holeman, and on Mon., Feb. 24 at 7:15 p.m., when the focus will be on The Broken Shore by Peter Temple.

On Mon., Feb. 3 at 7 p.m., the Windsor Park Book Club (Windsor Park Library — 955 Cottonwood Rd.) will meet to talk about Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
