Seine River MLA Theresa Oswald has a new challenger for her provincial riding.
The Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba has announced that Janice Morley-Lecomte will run for the party in the riding in the 2016 provincial election next spring.
Morley-Lecomte has a formal education in counselling, and experience working in the field of child and family services, officials say.
“Janice brings a wealth of experience to our team as a business owner and a very active member of her community,” said party leader Brian Pallister in a news release.
“I’m looking forward to working with her and all of our candidates in what promises to be a very exciting year leading up to the election.”
Oswald was first elected in 2003, and served in cabinet from 2004 and 2014.
