Kerry Gelean and his team are literally “staying on top of it for you.”
Owner of Royalwood Roofing, area resident Gelean worked with his father for 16 years before starting his own roofing company three years ago.
“My father is the hardest worker I’ve ever met,” Gelean says.
“He’s been in business for 50 years. He taught me the importance of keeping a great reputation and treating each customer as if they were your only one.”
Gelean offers licensed and insured residential asphalt roofing, eavestrough, soffit, fascia and siding services.
He says Royalwood residents need to be aware that small leaks can lead to big problems.
“If you start to see your shingles curling up or widening of the joints between shingles, that’s a sign something could be wrong,” he says.
“We provide a free, no-hassle, honest estimate. Often all we do is recommend having the roof checked out again in a few years. We give homeowners peace of mind.”
When it comes to insurance claims, knowing the kind of shingles used, the date installed, and the supplier is critical. Gelean stresses that if the claim is weather-related, homeowners should document the date, time, and wind direction.
Gelean has another piece of advice — quality matters.
“Many good quality roofs, installed properly, will last up to 25 years compared with 10 to 13 years with lower quality products and workmanship.”
Royalwood Roofing has both covered.
“We only use top quality materials. My crew is professional and keeps the job site clean,” Gelean says.
The Royalwood Roofing team is also known for acts of kindness.
“Last fall I had a phone call from a gentleman who had been stalled in traffic at St. Mary’s Road and Bishop Grandin. He could not move his vehicle on his own,” Gelean says.
“He was feeling that nobody cared enough to help him. Suddenly, two men appeared and pushed him out of traffic. As they drove away, the gentleman noticed the Royalwood Roofing sign on their truck.”
Gelean is already booking spring estimates and roofing work.
Royalwood Roofing has a new website under construction. For more information, visit Royalwood Roofing on Facebook, or call 431-777-7663.
