Pull out your best prose for Poetry Slam

The 2015 Winnipeg Poetry Slam season is hosting its first event of the year on Jan. 21 at the West End Cultural Centre.The slam session features former National Director of Spoken Word Canada, Isaac Bond, in from Saskatoon and consists of 12 sign-up spots open to anyone. All poets who perform throughout the evening will be given a mark out of 10 by judges hidden in the audience. Those who score the highest go on to compete in the playoffs. If standing up and reciting poetry isn’t for you, guests are welcome to take a seat in the audience and still be part of the overall experience.
