For those looking to take their photography skills to the next level, the Daniel McIntyre/St. Matthews Community association (823 Ellice Ave.) is launching a free photography course for youth.

The digital photography program is an eight-week commitment starting Jan. 27 and takes places every Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Cameras and equipment have been provided by the City of Winnipeg and no experience is required.

Anyone aged 12 to 18 can register for the program but class space is limited. Those who join will learn camera basics and how to capture great images while at the same time, be introduced to other passionate photographers in their area.

For more information regarding the digital youth photography program call 204-774-7005 or email outreach@dmsmca.ca
