West End prepares for spring cleaning

It’s once again time for the West End spring cleanup. This year’s event will take place Sat., May 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. (rain date: May 12) at three locations: Daniel McIntyre/St. Matthews Community Association (823 Ellice Ave.), Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre (430 Langside St.) and West Central Women’s Resource Centre (640 Ellice Ave.). Participants can choose any location to register and grab bags, pickers and gloves. Afterwards, the DMSMCA and MERC locations will be offering free food, drinks and door prizes.
