You’ve made your priorities clear

Hey there, time traveller!

Over the last eight months, I have been focused on learning about what matters most to families in the constituency of St. James.
I’ve had dozens of conversations with leaders in our daycares, community centres, schools, and non-profit organizations. I’ve spoken with a large number of seniors at three separate town halls hosted in seniors’ residences across our community.
I’ve learned from everyday community members at three open town halls, and I’ve heard the opinions of over 340 families through the delivery of a community needs assessment survey.
While there are a wide variety of issues and concerns for members of our community, the graphic at right summarizes those priorities which were identified time and time again.
This isn’t a to-do list. It’s a framework for understanding what’s most important to the residents of St. James and the portion of the West End I represent.
As MLA, these local priorities will serve to guide me in determining how I spend my time as the representative for St. James. They should also serve as a means of measuring my success in the role over the next few years.
I’m looking forward to working closely with all levels of government towards making our community an even better place to live for everyone.
If you have any thoughts you’d like to share about the priorities we identified, please don’t hesitate to reach out by phone at 204-792-8779 or by email at adrien.sala@yourmanitoba.ca
We would love to hear from you.
