The Park City will be well represented at Pride Winnipeg’s annual parade on Sun., June 5.
Russ Wyatt, former city councillor for Transcona, is spearheading the initiative.
“It will be a lot of fun. It will be done very well, very respectfully,” Wyatt said.
Wyatt said the community has been very supportive of Transcona’s flamingo-themed contribution to the parade. Goodfellow Realty, Dal’s Restaurant, Coun. Shawn Nason, MP Daniel Blaikie, MLA Nello Altomare, Park City Commons, Transcona BIZ, Hi Neighbour Festival Inc., Chris Lange at Lange Khokar Law, Vickar Automotive, and Wyatt Dowling Insurance all contributed, Wyatt said, along with his consulting firm, R.G. Wyatt Consulting.
Those who wish to march in the parade with Transcona With Pride! can join the group at 9 a.m. on June 5, Wyatt added. The float will be marshalling in aisle D on Memorial Boulevard.
