Cabela’s grand opening

Cabela’s celebrated its grand opening May 9 with music,  cheerleaders, and Mayor Sam Katz. Over a thousand people filed through the doors and into  the 70,000 square-foot store when the doors opened at 11 a.m. The previous store on Ellice Avenue was only 40,000 square feet. Peter Tully, retail marketing manager, said entering the new Cabela’s is like walking into a new environment. During the opening, gift cards were given out worth between $10 and $500.
