Ted Glass, the setter of the varsity Vincent Massey Collegiate boys’ volleyball team, is the Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week for Nov. 3 to 9.
The five-foot-eight setter led the Trojans to a second-place finish after the regular season in the West Winnipeg Athletic Conference and helped lead his team to a top four finish at the Mennonite Brethren tournament. The Grade 12 student was named tournament all-star.
“Ted is a passionate athlete who plays as hard as he can every single point of every single match,” coach Marshall Jones said in a statement. “He has a great knack for the game and is one of the top defensive players I have coached. His leadership skills and attitude have come a long way in his time at VMC and we are very proud of the quality young person he has become.”
