The Midget Football League of Manitoba recently hosted its banquet at the Norwood Hotel, and the St. Vital Mustangs picked up several midget awards. The winners were William Evans-Murphy (Rookie of the Year), Brandon Sitch (Offensive MVP), and Craig Bachynski (Coach of the Year). Kai Madsen received an honourable mention as finalist for Special Teams Player of the Year. Also, at the Manitoba Major Football League awards dinner on Nov. 7 at Canad Inns Polo Park, Matt Nikkel was named co-MVP and Justin McKay received an honourable mention for Lineman of the Year.
