Raiders boys complete AAAA sweep — in pictures

The Oak Park Raiders varsity boys basketball team, which was ranked No. 1 in the province all-season long, defeated the St. Paul’s Crusaders 78-73 in the Manitoba High Schools’ Athletic Association’s AAAA on Mon., March 20 at the U of M’s Investors Group Athletic Centre.

The victory followed the Oak Park girls’ victory over Vincent Massey, making Oak Park the first high school since 1977 to win both AAAA titles in the same year.

John Kendle was there to capture the action and the post-game celebrations.

John Kendle Wyatt Tait, a 6-6 forward for the victorious Oak Park Raiders, was named most valuable player of the provincial AAAA Final Four after his final high school game. Tait will suit of for the University of Manitoba Bisons next season.
