Winnipeg Blue Bombers players Matthias Goossen and Ian Wild spent an hour with the students to raise awareness of anti-bullying. In celebration of Pink Day, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers deliver this message every year to schools throughout Winnipeg.

“It’s important to use the influence that we have to talk about these issues,” Goossen said. “Kids this age, everybody wants to be cool and you want to know things are cool. This is not your teacher or your parents telling you. It’s a pro athlete saying it’s not cool to be a bully and that it’s cool to be nice to people.”

After the presentations, Goossen and Wild spent some time with Grade 4 students talking about football.
