ST. BONIFACE

A team representing St. Boniface Golf Club is off to the national RBC PGA Scramble tournament in Nova Scotia next month.

Recently, Daniel Beninger, Marc Sabourin, Dylan Ostberg, Blair Macaulay and PGA pro Adrian Peters of St. Boniface Golf Club finished in the top-two of the Manitoba and area regional final of the RBC PGA Scramble. The finish earned the team a trip to the national final at Cabot Links golf course in Inverness, N.S. Earlier this summer, the team qualified for the 18-hole regional tournament after winning a local qualifier.

“The team consists of a bunch of guys who used to play hockey together, but now we just play golf together,” Sabourin said in a release. “This will be the first time any of us will be at Cabot and it is on the golf bucket list. We are excited.”

The group will compete against 20 teams from across Canada at the October final.
