Glenlawn Collegiate boys’ soccer team kicked things up a notch recently.
On June 3, the St. Vital-based Lions beat the West Kildonan Wolverines 2-0 in the final of the Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association’s AAAA varsity provincial soccer championships, which was hosted by Steinbach Regional at the Steinbach Soccer Park.
As well as winning the championship, several Glenlawn players also made the boys all-star team, including Harvey Holland, Nico Nadeau, Jaxen Neufeld, and Josh Akpabio. Chilufya Zulu was the tournament MVP.
