Mr. Aker Wilde Musto is a four-year-old preschooler who is causing quite a stir in the academic and athletic world.

“Preschool is going great! I really like reading time. The teachers pick my favourite books to read. I really like outside time, too, where I can run around really fast,” he told me.

“I play on snow mountains too!”

Aker Wilde Musto (a.k.a. Wilde Man) said he’s going to play for two soccer teams this summer and play like Ronaldo.

There is no doubt as to how serious Aker (Wilde Man) Musto is as an athlete when, at just four years old, the young fella is already training on snow mountains.

“Yah, I’m pretty serious,” he admitted. “I love soccer! Soccer is fun! I get to run around and I love to run really really fast! I play Timbits soccer and we have a lot of fun. My favourite position is forward because when I am running and someone is behind me, if they fall chasing me I can score a goal.

“My teammates are my friends and we have a lot of fun together,” Aker said. “My coach is nice and he helps us.”

Aker knows diet plays a big role in being successful both in preschool and on the pitch. He means business with the fuel he puts into his snow-mountain-trained body.

“Pizza. Yup, pizza. That’s my secret. And bubblies.”

Bubblies? Um… are you sure?

“Yah, Bublys. Sparkling water. Lime.”

Aker lives in the south end of the city with his dad Christopher, mom Deanna, and sister Ivey.

“I love my dad. I love my mom. I love my sister. Oh mom and dad…you’re the best!”

Wilde Man Musto has big plans for the soccer season and doesn’t hold back when it comes to setting goals.

“This summer I am going to play on two teams and play twice a week,” he said. Then Aker paused and I swear his eyes twinkled a little bit.

“I am going to play like Ronaldo.”

Make sure you remember the name Aker (Wilde Man) Musto. The future is bright for this young man.

He has this advice to offer all athletes:

“Have fun! Run fast! And cheer your team!”
