A liquidation centre call Krazy Binz has opened its doors at the Northgate Shopping Centre at 1375 McPhillips St., offering a fascinating premise for the bargain-hunter in all of us.
One hundred and fifty bins are filled with “random stuff” like electronics, clothing, shoes and much, much more, and prices change daily. Sundays and Mondays feature items for $10; all items are $5 on Tuesdays; and $3 on Wednesdays. On Thursdays and Fridays, everything goes for $1.
Saturday, however, is the best time to pick up expensive, big-ticket products for $2. It’s also the busiest time of the week, when customers flood the premises.

You’ll never know what you might find at Krazy Binz.
Small items, such as jewelry, watches, phones and small electronics can be found near the cash counter, and a special testing station has been set up to check electric and electronic goods to make sure they are in good working order. This is important as there is no return policy — every sale is final.
One customer confided that she likes to shop on Thursdays, when all the books are a dollar. Another woman said she had purchased a large “floater,” shaped like a swan, for $10, which she will take to the lake.
“These cost about $80 when you buy them on Amazon,” she said.
Thirty employees work in this North End store and are ready to help you find what you’re looking for. That said, each visit is an adventure. You never know what you’ll discover.
Store hours are 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. on weekdays, except Fridays, when it’s open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can also visit the other Krazy Binz liquidation shop at 947 St. James St.
It’s great relaxing fun to shop and browse. You may even find that special item you’ve been searching for – at a fantastic price.
