How to book a doctor’s appointment online

Earlier this year, our government introduced medinav.ca to help you and your family see a doctor when you need one, or to access primary care.
This new website can help families here in Fort Rouge and across the city access primary health care quickly, with appointments that fit your schedule.
It’s easy to use: just go to medinav.ca, and follow the prompts to create a profile, using your new plastic health card, or your old paper one. In just a few minutes, you can create a profile for you or a family member, like a kid or a parent.
From there, just put in the reason you need to see a doctor, and you’ll be given options for available appointments across the city, at places like our new extended hours clinics at the Misericordia and Victoria Hospitals. We’re making sure there are appointments available in the evenings and on weekends, so you can get the care you need on your schedule. The whole process should only take a minute or two.
I’d also encourage you to save this website as a shortcut to your phone so the next time you need an appointment you can login and book with speed.
That’s just one way we’re moving health care forward in Manitoba to make it easier for you and your family.
Hundreds of thousands of Manitobans have already received a new, plastic health card. Haven’t applied yet? It’s easy to replace your old, paper card with a new one by going to the Manitoba Health webpage: www.gov.mb.ca/health
The new card features a Northern Lights design chosen by Manitobans, as well as a QR code to streamline things for health care providers. Once you’ve applied, the new card will be delivered right to your mailbox. And best of all, it won’t fray and rip like your paper card did.
I hope you and your family stay healthy this summer, so you can enjoy the camping trips, festivals, and sports games you’re looking forward to. If you do find yourself needing a doctor, the process should be as stress-free as possible thanks to medinav.ca and your new plastic health card. Delivering better health care for Manitobans is our government’s top priority, and we’re going to keep taking steps like these so you can see a doctor sooner and get back to enjoying the beautiful Winnipeg summer.
