A federal byelection will be held in the riding of Portage-Lisgar to elect a member of Parliament to replace Candice Bergen of the Conservative Party of Canada, who resigned her seat on Feb. 1 after serving as MP since 2008.

Boundaries: Covers 12,559 square kilometres, bounded by the ridings of Dauphin-Swan River-Marquette, Lake Manitoba, and the Selkirk-Interlake area in the north, southwest Winnipeg (St. James-Assiniboia) and Provencher to the east, the Brandon-Souris area to the west, and the Canada-United States border in the south. Includes the rural municipalities of Altona, Carman, Cartier, Gretna, Long Plain First Nation, Lorne, Macdonald, Manitou, Morden, Morris, Notre Dame de Lourdes, Pembina, Plum Coulee, Portage la Prairie, Rhineland, St. Claude, St. François Xavier, Somerset, South Norfolk, Swan Lake First Nation, Treherne, and Winkler.
Population: 100,417 (2021)
Number of electors: 45,697 (2021)
