A new playground was officially opened at Pacific Junction Heritage Park (715 Cathcart St.) on Oct. 15.

The renovated play area includes a new play structure and swing set, as well as asphalt pathways, picnic tables, benches, and an outdoor classroom area for students attending Pacific Junction primary school next door.

“Reinvesting in playgrounds is investing in the future — nurturing creativity, building connections, and giving children a safe space to grow, learn, and thrive,” said Coun. Evan Duncan (Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood), in a press release. “Pacific Junction Heritage Park is a great example of three levels of government working together to revitalize the heart of this community.”
