The South Valour Residents Association unveiled its latest art project on Dec. 1 at the Isaac Brock site of the Valour Community Centre.

Gathering Light: Capturing Community is a pair of photo-collage panels on the north exterior wall of the community centre’s gym, created by the SVRA in collaboration with visual artist Sarah Crawley through the Winnipeg Arts Council’s With Art program.

The project was two years in the making, as participants explored the neighbourhood and made art that reflected its sights and character. Among other things, Crawley taught people to make pinhole cameras for solargraphy – long-exposure photos of the sun.
