Super-Spike set for summer
Maple Grove Rugby Park will once again play host to the Super-Spike volleyball tournament this summer.
The event will be held Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 at Maple Grove (190 Frobisher Rd.).

This year’s Super-Spike volleyball tournament and concert series, presented by Corona, will once again be held at Maple Grove Rugby Park on July 18 and 19.
Super-Spike combines Western Canada’s largest outdoor volleyball tournament with a weekend-long concert series. This year’s mainstage headliners will be Virginia to Vegas and Preston Pablo, and will also include appearances by local acts including Encore, Jérémie & The Delicious Hounds, Daniel Desorcy, and Always Dale. Registration for the event is now open, and early bird prices are available. This year, organizers have expanded Super-Spike’s capacity to 375 teams. All Super-Spike participants receive free access to the concert series and on-site festivities.
Super-Spike has raised more than $1.4 million to date for local non-profits organizations. Funding recipients this year once again include Volleyball Manitoba, as well as the event’s newest recipient, the Winnipeg Humane Society.

GCWCC AGM set for April 12
The General Council of Winnipeg Community Centres will hold its annual general meeting at Central Corydon Community Centre’s Sir John Franklin site (1 Sir John Franklin Rd.) on Saturday, April 12.
