West St. Paul to hold annual Canada Day festival
The R.M. of West St. Paul is hosting a full-day event for Canada Day at the Access Centre (48 Holland Rd.) on Wednesday, July 1.
Festivities planned for the day include a magic show, stunt show, live wrestling, interactive robot wars, and more.
Fireworks are set for 10:45 p.m., weather permitting.

Portage la Prairie Canada Day celebration
The Portage Regional Recreation Authority is set to host a Canada Day event at Stride Place (245 Royal Rd.)
The day is set to begin with a pancake breakfast, feature a main stage with entertainment, and kid’s activities.
Fireworks will be launched as dusk, according to strideplace.ca (approx. 10:30 p.m.). The City of Portage la Prairie is reminding residents the causeway will be closed during fireworks.
The Forks Canada Day celebrations
On July 1, the Forks will mark the culmination of 11 days of celebration that began on June 21 with National Indigenous Peoples Day with Canada Day festivities.
