On Dec. 17, hundreds of people had a chance to meet Santa at the Skate with Santa event held at Seven Oaks Arena, hosted by City Councillor Devi Sharma, Garden City Community Centre and the Raiders Jr. Hockey Club.
Non-perishable food items, socks and mitts were collected at the door and donated to Elwick Village Resource Centre.
Children also enjoyed skating with Boston Pizza’s mascot Lionel, Take Pride Winnipeg’s mascot Louie the Lion and Winnipeg Blue Bomber’s Buzz and Boomer.
