There are extreme cases of care and support at Manitoba Mutts and we like to feature these animals as superheroes. Their will to live and our generous community of volunteers and donors help save their lives. These dogs and cats touch all the lives of those involved along the way. We call them our Super Troopers. Follow their stories on our website and/or here. Please share their stories and please donate.
This gorgeous girl, Riley, came into care through Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue near the beginning of August and will soon be looking for her forever home. When animals come into our care they are given veterinary examinations to see if there are any underlying concerns. Riley tested positive for heartworm.
She has since undergone treatment and bloodwork with the care of her wonderful foster family and under the supervision of our friends at our veterinary partners. To follow her story or see when she’s available for adoption, keep an eye out on our Facebook page.
