Becoming a very good dog

Hi, I’m Slinky, and I’m a super-friendly, fun bundle of energy. I love to play with anyone and anything.

I’m also slowly starting to learn that relaxing and cuddling on the couch next to my favourite humans is actually quite nice.

I came into the care of Manitoba Mutts with a ‘to do’ list and so far, I’ve been able to check a few things off.

Slinky’s To Do list:

• I do well in my crate and even choose to go in it for quiet time. I sleep in it all night and when there are no humans home;

• I’m very good with cats, however it’s best they are dog-savvy as I do like to play with them and enjoy the occasional cat chase;

• I love other dogs, but my manners with them and ability to read and respect their signals needs work. I have a very enthusiastic play style and don’t often listen to other dogs when they’re done playing and I still want to keep going. It would be best if any other dog I live with is very playful, patient, and bigger than me;

• Because of my energy level, it would be best if I didn’t live in an apartment and I have a fenced yard to run around in.
