Tyndall Park Community School students returned to class last week to find some brand new toys in their school yard.

School staff, students and parent council members cut the ribbon on $140,000 in playground improvements on Fri., Sept 9.

Heather Grant-Jury, vice-president of Tyndall Park’s parent council, said much of the former playground equipment at the school was aging and in desperate need of replacement.

“It was certainly time for some improvements for the kids,” she said.

Grant-Jury said the improvements likely wouldn’t have been possible without financial assistance from the city and provincial level of government.
