On Sept. 7, MLA for St. Paul Ron Schuler presented backpacks, courtesy of TELUS, to the students at West St. Paul School.

For the past three years, TELUS has been working with parliamentarians and legislators across Canada to host Kids for Kids, a special event during the TELUS Days of Giving.

Together they provide backpacks full of school supplies to children across the country.

“Every parent wants their child to have all the tools they need to have a successful school year. However, for some families, the financial pressure that comes with back to school shopping can be a burden,” Schuler said in a news release.

“Starting the school year on the right foot goes a long way towards helping a child learn and grow as every student deserves the same opportunity,” he said.
