R.B. Russell in lockdown after unknown person found inside the building

On Jan. 28, R.B. Russell Vocational High School was placed on lockdown at noon due to an unknown person who broke into the building.

There was no access to the building, and students and staff who were in the building at the time the lockdown was initiated were held safe inside with Winnipeg Police Service officers.

The Winnipeg School Division said school administration was made aware of an unidentified person in the school’s lower level by a student who had been approached by the person. 

Exams for the day were rescheduled and the WPS is investigating the incident.
