The Women’s Health Clinic has spent its 35-year history trying to educate women, and people of all genders, that they have ownership of their decisions and their choices have to be respected.

Since 1981, Winnipeg residents have benefitted from a space that provides a safe environment, where women receive fair and non-judgmental treatment.

Women’s Health Clinic started to see some of its goals realized when it launched an abortion program in 2006. While there is no criminal law against abortion in Canada, many women still don’t have proper access to it — just one of the challenges women face. Different groups of women face different challenges.
