Good morning!

Great Cup: The Canadian Football League lived up to its reputation for wild, unpredictable excitement on Sunday. The newest team in the league, the Ottawa Redblacks, which earned its place in the championship game by winning last weekend in a blizzard (how Canadian), was considered the underdog but beat the Calgary Stampeders in overtime with a quarterback who is old enough to be a grandfather and was limping before the game started, and with a running back from the University of Manitoba Bisons. Jeff Hamilton reports from the Grey Cup. READ MORE

Your forecast: Remember how the weekend weather was wonderfully sunny and warm? That changes today. Light snow will be mixed with five to 10 cm of rain, with a high of 4 C. And that rain/snow will be pelted against your cheeks by winds from the east at 30 km/h, gusting to 50.

Aldo Santin will be there.

Beloved teacher missing: The search will continue for Kevin Dilk, 50, a teacher at Collège Béliveau, a Grade 7 to 12 school. His family hasn’t seen him since Wednesday, when he is believed to have left his St. Boniface home on foot. Ice aquarium: About 5,000 dead fish packed in the ice at a skating rink in western Japan are causing an uproar. The rink owners unveiled the concept earlier this month as an “attraction never heard about,” intended “to give the feel of the ocean to the ice skating rink.” After substantial uproar, the owners closed the rink and said they are “extremely remorseful to have invoked such unpleasant feelings.” READ MORE
