Winnipegger’s legendary dragster: Brian Friesen of Winnipeg has donated one of the fastest vehicles on four wheels to an Alberta Museum. Friesen acquired a legendary dragster named Wheeler Dealer in 2007 and restored it fully. On March 3, 2001: The Winnipeg Free Press reported that public officials feared an outbreak of meningitis after a sixth case of the disease was reported in Manitoba in two months, and considered whether a vaccination program among teens was called for. In Santee, Calif., a 15-year-old student shot and killed two other students and wounded 13 more before being apprehended.
