Bowman’s big lead: Brian Bowman has a commanding lead in the mayoral race and is the preferred candidate among all demographic groups, a poll commissioned by the Free Press and CTV Winnipeg says. FBI report filed: U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and the White House said early today they have received the FBI’s supplemental background investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The Senate is preparing for an initial vote on his nomination Friday before a final vote that might happen Saturday. Kavanaugh has been accused of sexual assault and misconduct.
