On Feb. 14, 2002: The president of the Canadian Olympic Association said that Canadian pairs skater Jamie Sale and David Pelletier ought to be awarded gold medals at the Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the organization was formally filing an appeal with the ISU, after the head of the French Olympic team said one of the judges was pressured into awarding gold to Russia.
