Good morning!
How was your Halloween? I saw plenty of ghouls and goblins out in my neighbourhood, some with bags of candy as big as them. Now that the spookiness has come and passed, nothing is standing between us and the holiday season, so prepare for all the classic Christmas trappings. Personally, I look forward to food, friends and felicitations.
Unfortunately, with the holidays comes snowfall, the first of which is currently forecast to arrive this weekend. Maybe I will have to book myself a direct flight to Los Angeles.
Anyways, happy Tuesday, everybody!

Latest rate hike shows an easing of the gas pedal
Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem last week relaxed the pressure on the financial brake pedal he had been stomping on most of this year. Instead of raising the bank’s key interest rate by three-quarters of a percentage point, he raised it by just half a point to 3.75 per cent. It was his sixth successive interest rate hike this year.
