Good morning!

Consumer Protection and Government Services Minister James Teitsma, who will lead a provincial pre-budget consultation in Winnipeg Monday, has promised to read every written submission received by the Feb. 28 deadline. Carol Sanders has the story.

And the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs is expected to discuss the next steps in an effort to search a landfill north of Winnipeg for the remains of two Indigenous women. The group has called a news conference today following the federal government’s commitment of $500,000 for a feasibility study on the proposed search. The Canadian Press reports.

“Things are getting dire. We feel like they are playing a joke on us.”
