The Wrap: Liquor deal, nurses’ overtime, new Rhaps music, and the Stanley Cup visits Sioux Valley

The union for 1,400 workers at Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries have reached a deal with the Crown corporation to end the strike affecting Liquor Mart stores and the MLL distribution centre. Details of the deal haven’t been revealed. It’s not yet clear when all stores will reopen, but MGEU officials said picket lines will come down until voting is completed.

The provincial government spent nearly $20 million on overtime for nurses at the Health Sciences Centre between September 2022 to May 2023, according to documents obtained by the NDP and publicly released Wednesday.
