Good evening. Here’s a look at what our newsroom has been working on today:

As part of an exclusive series examining the state of Winnipeg’s public transportation system, the Free Press is looking at our city’s transit system from a variety of perspectives.

A recent Probe Research poll, commissioned by the Free Press, found Winnipeg residents overwhelmingly consider safety and security a primary concern on Winnipeg Transit buses. Reporter Tyler Searle looks at what steps are being taken locally to improve transit safety.

Four youths have been arrested and police are searching for two others in connection to the Nov. 11 death of 27-year-old Peter Filip.

Police said Filip was standing outside a vendor at Arlington Street and Logan Avenue in the West Alexander neighbourhood when he was confronted by a group of males around 2 a.m. and repeatedly assaulted, then stabbed and struck with a gun.
