Timing of trial uncertain: The U.S. House of Representatives voted Wednesday evening to impeach a president for the third time in history. Later, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she wouldn’t send the two articles against Donald Trump to the Republican-controlled Senate until Democrats get assurances a trial in the upper chamber will be fair. What to watch: Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are set to meet today to discuss plans for Trump’s trial, The Associated Press reports. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will make a statement on the “precedent-breaking” impeachment on the floor of the Senate later this morning.
