Free Press Head Start for March 23

Good morning.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in Brussels and will address the European Parliament later today on his second visit to the continent this month. He will stress the importance of countries working together to defend democracy amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, The Canadian Press reports.

The war started one month ago today (Feb. 24 in Ukraine). Ukrainian leaders are accusing Russia of seizing 15 rescue workers and drivers from a convoy trying to deliver food and other supplies to Mariupol.

Winnipeggers are donating money to make anti-tank obstacles in Ukraine.
