City security, counterfeit money, northern health, VE day anniversary
Plus: Show your Canadian pride and strengthen Canadian journalism

Good evening. Hockey writer Mike McIntyre is in St. Louis as the Winnipeg Jets take their 3-2 series lead to St. Louis.

Nikolaj Ehlers was in the pre-game warmup, which he passed with flying colours. After wearing a yellow non-contact sweater as recently as Wednesday, his return came just in the “Nik” of time for a Jets team that lost top centre Mark Scheifele in Wednesday’s Game 6 to an upper-body injury.

The Jets are on the cusp of advancing, while the Blues are trying to force a winner-take-all Game 7 on Sunday evening, which would take place in downtown Winnipeg.

Mike will file a full game analysis, including locker-room reaction, online later tonight and in tomorrow’s paper.
