Coyote attack, city deficit reduction, and NHL draft predictions

Good evening. Here’s a look at what our newsroom has been working on today:

Although coyote sightings are not rare in northeast Winnipeg, area residents were shocked when a nine-year-old boy was mauled by one Saturday evening. Conservation officers are still searching for the animal.

And: It’s a bit of a fool’s game to predict how the 2023 NHL Draft will work out for the Winnipeg Jets, given their 18th-overall placement. But… after scouring more than a dozen “mock drafts” by various pundits and publications, columnist Mike McIntyre put together a list of a dozen players who might be waiting to hear their name called by the time the Jets are on the clock.
