Free Press Head Start for Aug. 25

Good morning.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be campaigning for the Liberals in British Columbia today, while NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole will make federal election announcements in Ontario.

Christopher Saccoccia — the anti-lockdown, anti-mask conspiracy theorist also known as Chris Sky — was led away by police after a rally outside the University of Winnipeg on Tuesday. Police would not confirm if he had been arrested or whether any charges had been laid, but might release information about the matter today.

Today is the final day the mass COVID-19 vaccination site in The Pas will be open.

The winning ticket for last night’s $20-million Lotto Max jackpot was sold in the Prairies.
