A place to go: Winnipeg’s Pop-Up Toilet will open today at a permanent spot at the corner of Main Street and Henry Avenue. The bright orange potties, intended to address a lack of public facilities in downtown Winnipeg, debuted in 2018 and moved to various locations before finding their permanent home. Near Petrograd, a Turkish attempt to encircle the left flank of the Russian Caucasian army was dealt a crushing blow. In Winnipeg, architect H.G. Russell took the witness stand to answer questions regarding the construction of the new Manitoba Legislative Building under construction by Thomas Kelly and Sons; at issue was the degree to with Kelly “had his own way” with the design and construction of the building.
