On Dec. 16, 1924: The Manitoba Free Press reported that a Manitoba flight to Reindeer Lake in the far north of of Manitoba and Saskatchewan stood among other groundbreaking accomplishments in aviation including the recent flight around the world. The Royal Canadian Air Force took aerial photos of clouds north of Winnipeg. An extreme cold snap continued over Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
