On Dec. 3, 1918: The Manitoba Free Press reported that Great Britain had decided to press Holland to extradite former German Kaiser Wilhelm. Representatives of Britain, France and Italy met in London to discuss the preliminaries to the peace conference following the armistice to the Great War the previous month. Sir Arthur Currie, leader of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, said he was proud of Canada’s fighters, adding their accomplishments were unsurpassed in the annals of the Great War. READ MORE
